True Confessions
“I am no longer holding back. I am worthy of the brightest star, and I will claim it.”
— Sylvie Rancourt

I have always considered myself blessed. Life gave me loving parents who nurtured my mind, my creativity, and my belief in education. I was encouraged to dream, and I was given the tools to succeed. Opportunities flowed my way, and I had the courage to take them. Landing the next big job became second nature.
But here’s the truth: I never reached as high as I could have. My dreams were vast, but when it came to the brightest star, the one that seemed just out of reach, I hesitated. Not because I couldn’t grasp it, but because I doubted my worth. I told myself that star wasn’t meant for me. And in that moment, I settled.
Yes, I built a life I am proud of. I led with influence in a renowned institution, I raised a beautiful family, I traveled the world and gathered experiences that shaped me. But deep down, I know, I was destined for more.
And here’s the most important part: realizing that truth doesn’t break me. It ignites me. Because now I understand something I didn’t before: the only limits we truly face are the ones we place on ourselves.
So let me say this to you, and to the part of me that once held back: stop waiting! Stop shrinking. Stop telling yourself you are not worthy of the brightest dream on your heart. You are. You always have been.
I share my story not with regret, but with purpose. To show that it’s never too late to rise higher. To remind you that the star you think is too far out of reach is actually waiting for you to claim it. The question is, will you finally believe you deserve it?
“You are worthy of the brightest dream on your heart. Believe it. Claim it. Live it.”
Stop Settling.
Start living the life you were always meant to have.
