For many, the concept of self-love can feel elusive, even unattainable. It’s not that they don’t want to love themselves—it’s that somewhere along the way, they lost the map to finding it. Life, with its endless demands and curveballs, has a way of overshadowing our worth, leaving us feeling depleted and detached from our true selves.
Worse, many of us (yes, myself included) have allowed others and negative past experiences to shape core beliefs about ourselves, usually very wrong, which can perpetuate a cycle of self-doubt and insecurity that feels nearly insurmountable.
When self-love is absent, we may struggle to appreciate our own qualities and achievements, leading us to look outside ourselves for affirmation, which can create a cycle of insecurity and dissatisfaction. Most importantly, when we lack self-worth, we are cheating humanity of our unique gifts and contributions. This prevents us from fulfilling our purpose and sharing our talents with the world.
Our mission here, in this existence, is to bring our authentic selves into the light, and by remaining caught in negative beliefs, we delay the very impact we are meant to make. It is crucial to overcome these limiting thoughts and embrace our worthiness to contribute to the greater good.
Reclaiming self-love is not just a personal growth journey; it’s an empowering act of defiance against the narratives we’ve absorbed from society, and it brings along the rewards of patience, a greater spiritual understanding, and a joyful commitment to nurturing our own hearts. We can trust in our values and capabilities to navigate challenges with grace and maintain genuine connections with others.
Self-acceptance enables us to have impactful positive relationships and encourages us to pursue our passions and share our gift with others.
Until I undertook this journey, my relationship with self-love could be described as “conflicting duality.” For most of my life, I marched confidently towards bold goals and undertakings, while hiding the impostor I believed I was. I viewed my strength and drive simply as a product of strong intuition and naïveté and a lot of good luck . In private moments, I would self-flagellate and be my worst critic, never giving myself a grade higher than a C-.
It took years of introspection to arrive at a place of self-acceptance and find a greater love for myself, and become empowered with an incredible zest for life and pure joy. Nirvana-like joy! Since then, I understood what I have been gifted with, and it has been my mission – my passion and purpose – to help any one find their amazing self.
Our divine purpose is the unique expression of our soul’s highest potential – the reason we are here, beyond just existing. It is the calling that aligns our gifts, passions and experiences with the greater good.

Divine purpose is not just about what we do, but also about who we become. It’s the journey of remembering our true essence, embracing self-love and contributing to the world in a way that feels deeply fulfilling. For some, this may manifest through creativity, healing, teaching or service while for others it’s about presence, love and simply being a light for others.
“Embrace who you are and your divine purpose. Identify the barriers in your life, and develop discipline, courage, and the strength to permanently move beyond them, and keep moving forward.”
– Germany Kent
From my own experience, came the book: Discovering Radiance: A Journey to Self-Love and Acceptance. It explores the importance of self-love, its impact on passion and life purpose, and provides practical tools, including a comprehensive self-assessment questionnaire for evaluating emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. It draws on all the lessons and research I have conducted for myself, which I am eager to share with others.
The key to discovering divine purpose is to listen inward – what makes your heart come alive? Where do you feel called to serve or create? When you align with love, authenticity and joy, you are naturally living your divine purpose
Easy, right? During my research, I unexpectedly discovered a collection of poems by an unfamiliar author titled “Awakening – A journey through verses”. Her poems resonated with me, and I share a couple of verses from one of them below.

In the end, the best way to figure out how to best serve humanity, is to fall in love with yourself. The journey will leave you with enhanced emotional resilience, and allow you to improve relationships, and possess a deeper sense of purpose.

Loving yourself aligns with the intention of creation; our divine purpose is to recognize our worth and value. When we love ourselves, we open our hearts to positive energy and become more in tune with the universe, allowing us to live authentically and fulfill our purpose.

Blessed are those who learn self love early in life, but blessed also are those who discover it through their self questioning.
