Well folks, another adventure begins!
Since Pierre passed away, I have been learning to do many things on my own. Even though we appeared tied at the hips when we were married, we led fairly independent lives, and enjoyed doing things on our own. I am not saying the last year hasn’t been an adjustment, but each time, it gets easier.
Pierre was my perfect travel partner and travelling without him has been the greatest adjustment of all. To ease me into it, my first cruise without him was in the safe company of my daughter and her family. Having them around me made the transition much easier.
My second time out this summer was with my aunt Diane, to Alaska – a destination that Pierre had no desire to see. On that trip, he was with me, and I kept telling him, he would have been thoroughly impressed by the unexpected, and he would have loved it – and I think he agreed with me.
This time, I am travelling solo. I am going on my own, taking two back-to-back cruises to Europe and return to Florida. I don’t know anyone onboard, and I am looking forward to it.

I haven’t published Vivi’s Vibes in a while, but as of October 27th, you will be getting regular instalments in your inbox, so you can keep tabs on how I am doing.
It’s going to be a blast!! I have joined a Facebook group of fellow travellers for each ship that I will be boarding. This has allowed me to connect with a group of cruisers looking to play cards, and a group of other solo travellers looking to dine together, plus I have signed up for a few fun events – like Mrs Roper’s Pub Crawl. (more to come on that one)
So that’s it for now. I just wanted to give you a heads and I am very eager to share my trip with you.
