Highlights of Rome, Florence, Venice and Iano, Italy 2018

Everyday, I am reminded of how blessed we were to have had the opportunity to visit Italy this year, and pray we will have the opportunity to return.

I felt so inspired when we were there, and felt at peace at the same time. Some days it felt like time stood still, and that Italians were wisely insisting on keeping a way of life that makes me reminisce of simpler times, when food was still natural and without preservatives, and where we were not so rushed, and when family took a more prominent place in our lives.

We are back now, and I find that everyday, I am forcing myself to live the simple life we lived during those two months. Household chores were activities, weather dictated what we would do that day, and in the evening we played cards just the two of us, or read, watched movies, sharing funny stories, engaged in each other’s company.
